"Two and a Half Men Seasons 1-7 ." What to say, what to say? Well, considering that the show originally aired on CBS, the birthplace of the biggest atrocity committed against comedy ever, it is no surprise that the show has canned laughter. Most shows still use that horribly phony trick whenever they can to try and force the audience to laugh at perhaps a lame gag that needed a little more pep if the studio audience didn't respond: essentially a "lite" form of brainwashing. Some shows used it in non-intrusive ways, like Seinfeld, and though the practice was present for a few of the blander gags, it mainly let the audience decide whether or not to laugh or not.
Okay, you may be wondering: what does this have to do with the television comedy of which I am supposedly writing about? Well, here it goes: "Two and a Half Men on dvd" is a crime against intellect. It represents how dumb writers will become for a few ratings, which seem to be no longer a problem, with the show being the highest-rated comedy on the air. That sickens me. While more original comedies roam the airwaves without even a few thousand views, Two and a Half Men dvds is lauded as a TV classic, though it is no more original than all of the other "original" cretinous dribble that comes from CBS.
For the uninitiated, "Two and a Half Men complete series" is a TV show about a rich sex-fiend who, against his will, is forced to take in his lame brother and his son , where they share a series of misadventures mainly having to do with sex, life-lessons, puberty, flatulence, stupidity, and the flaws inherent in all families. This could of been an excellent show, had the creators decided to use a different format and smarter writing; however, this is not the case.
